Biography

Niklas Gard is a research associate in the Computer Vision & Graphics Group at Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute. He graduated in Computervisualistik at the University of Koblenz-Landau with a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in 2015. From 2012 to 2015 he worked as a student assistant in the Research Group Artificial Intelligence at the University of Koblenz-Landau. From March 2016 to April 2017 he has been part of the Capture & Display Systems Group at Fraunhofer HHI. From April 2017 to March 2020 he has also been a member of the Visual Computing Research Group at the Humboldt University of Berlin. Currently, he is involved in the collaborative research project BIMKIT and EConoM. Before that, he participated in the research projects 3DInMed, Easy Cohmo, and DigitalTWIN.

We are happy that our paper "X-maps: Direct Depth Lookup for Event-based Structured Light Systems" has been accepted at the CVPR 2023 Workshop on Event-based Vision. The source code is available at GitHub.
