      Short Bio  

      Serhan Gül graduated with a B.Sc. in electronics engineering at Sabanci University, Istanbul in 2012 and received his M.Sc. degree in communications engineering from Technical University of Munich in 2014. Since 2015, he has been with the Multimedia Communications Group in the Video Coding and Analytics Department at Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute (HHI), Berlin.

His research interests lie in multimedia communication, networked media systems and computer vision. Serhan has led the work of Fraunhofer HHI and technically contributed to the Celtic-Plus project VIRTUOSE (2016-2019). He is also an active contributor to video-related standardization activities in 3GPP.
